If you like movies then you are no doubt familiar with The Big Horn Cinemas. Since it’s the only theater in town it’s been common practice to flip a peek as your driving past to see what’s playing. Before the big new neon sign, you could easily tell which movies where playing with just a quick glance. I used to do it all the time. I have nothing against technology but checking
to see what is playing now has become a thing of the past. The Big Horn Cinemas has been through a little updating. Now, instead of driving past and peeking to see what is playing you have to slow down, squint and hopefully catch a movie title on the new, modern flashy neon sign that flips movie titles just to slow for a person in a moving vehicle to read. Maybe if your driving 3 miles an hour you will have enough time to find out what is playing that night.
As of the speed limit is 35 mph, you may be lucky if you can see the name of one movie that is playing. Never mind if the sun is just right. Forget seeing it at night! It looks sharp, really modern and cool but it’s hard to read in a moving vehicle. I guess one can pull into the parking lot, visit online or call the movie hotline to find out what’s playing. In case you need it - 587-8001 for the movie list!
The Big Horn Cinemas is still the best place in town to watch a movie on the big screen. Even though I don’t like the big flashy neon sign I will still enjoy many more movies with a bag of popcorn.
